City of Heights

Hi all ... Today was a tall day (pun intended). We started off heading to Notre Dame cathedral. The church is even more impressive in person. We walked through the cathedral, and then headed to the "Height" part. We actually got to climb the tower to the top. To those that know me well, I did it, I made it, this was a miracle in itself. All I can say is that Andrew promised me he was trained in CPR (which we didn't need thank goodness) and it was a lot easier going down. It rained all day today, so I'm glad we did the climb early, as the stairs would have been a lot more slippery later on.

We next boarded the Batobus, and headed to the Eiffel Tower. Here we had lunch and got to ride the elevator to the top. When we first arrived, it was raining really hard, but after lunch when we went to the top observation deck, it had miraculously cleared up. Someone was watching out for us! By the way, check out the curls! Goes to show how rainy it was!

The internet is more expensive here in Paris, so this will be it for now. Tonight we are trying to get tickets to Moulon Rouge. More tomorrow! We are off to the Louvre!!
